So, you have perfected your skin care routine, but are you getting your beauty rest?
Many sleep experts recommend establishing a bedtime routine, both to calm and relax you as you get ready to sleep and so you aren't inadvertently giving yourself jet lag. Getting sufficient sleep is shown to reduce stress, improve your mood, and even allows your skin time to heal from daily damage.
You might not be able to control the factors that interfere with your sleep. However, here are a few habits to adopt, before, during and after you hit the sheets for a self-care routine that you won’t want to snooze on!
Before:
Digital detox: means putting your phone away 2 hours before bed
Exercise: during the day so you can sleep soundly at night
Use an alarm clock and set it away from your bedside to avoid snoozing
Have a comfy pair of slippers or robe next to your bed to slip into
Drink one full glass of water before breakfast
Eat a healthy breakfast within the first hour of waking up
