Tell us what you do? and how you came about your side hustle(s)?
Since I was young, I’ve always had a passion for living an active lifestyle, including playing high-level sports like Baseball, Track and Taekwondo. It taught me to embrace resilience, become more resourceful while motivating me to become the best version of myself. I realized then, while in University, that I wanted to take my passion for fitness one step further and help other athletes to be the best version of themselves.
Thanks to my friend Dylan Nadler, CEO of Mindlock Sports Psychology, encouraged me to follow my dreams and start my own business. I set myself a goal: to train, motivate and inspire others to discover the benefits of working out by offering specialized training programs catered to their specific needs and goals.
At the end of the day, for me it's all about helping others to live a healthy lifestyle they never thought was possible and getting them into their ideal shape.

What about your work brings you true joy?
For me, it's all about helping my clients achieve their personal fitness goals while helping them reevaluate how they view health and wellness. I love hearing about the changes - that they can run faster, they got more playing time, they reached a higher vertical jump or achieved their own personal record in a certain lift .
Whether it's a big or small achievement, to hear and see the improvements in their physique while witnessing how good it makes them feel - is rewarding to me.

What has been your most valuable learnings?
Simply, to treat others how you want to be treated. It's been a golden rule for me, and it's been heavily ingrained since childhood. It's the easiest thing to understand but the hardest thing to implement. I’m fortunate, I’ve had some amazing role models that have influenced me to always put myself in the other people’s shoes and then make decisions according to how they would want to be treated.
It’s also embedded as a part of my business philosophy, treating others with respect and how I approach the creation of specialized programs. It’s about understanding where they are in their journey, respecting it and working together to reshape that journey.

If you could give your past self any advice, what would it be?
Try not to take life too seriously. Things can always be worse - so be happy for what you have and work towards making things better, no matter the situation. I think we sometimes forget this, it’s good to just pause, live in the moment and just be happy!
If you could learn to do anything, what would that be?
I would say, if I could learn anything, it would be every single language in the world! I’ve gone to so many different schools, played so many different sports and have experienced so many different cultures and backgrounds in my life that being able to speak to anyone in their native language would be such an amazing feeling.
Right now, I can only speak French and Punjabi, but that connection you feel along with seeing others surprised that you can speak to them in their language always brings a happy reaction. It’s such a great feeling and that is an experience I would like to share with everyone!
If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why?
My favourite superhero growing up was Spider-man. He can basically fly, is deceivingly strong, agile, fast and intelligent, every quality an amazing athlete should have.
Can you describe an experience/incident that happened that made you a stronger person?
A few years ago, I went away to Kamloops, British Columbia for my second year of University to play baseball at Thompson Rivers University.
You have all these expectations around your experience from gaining new independence to a fresh start. But for some, the experience falls short of their expectations - you don’t feel happy, comfortable or adjusted to your new environment.
For me, it was a tough transition, I was away from my family, my friends while adjusting to a new school. It took a toll on me both emotionally and physically but I learned how to cope with the situation by making the best of it. I focused on shifting my mindset and embracing the increased responsibilities, different surroundings and how to manage my time. As I look back, I’m grateful for those who were around me, they helped me get through that time and it made me stronger - it also reminded me to pause, live in the moment and just be happy.
