The Simplest Skincare Routine for Men

A simple skin care routine for men is essential. And no, your idea of an effective skincare takes more than just washing your face with whatever soap you have lying around and hoping for the best. We get it, thanks to the sheer volume of product options, skincare can be daunting at best and confusing at worst.

​Maybe that’s why many guys have no skincare routine to speak of—they don’t want to put in the effort to figure it out. Or maybe they just don’t care. Well they, and you, should care.

Thanks to @doseofglamour, the skincare tips below are simple to follow. The hardest part is staying committed and consistent, and not to mention a healthy amount of experimentation till you find the right products for you.

1. Cleanse twice daily:  wash your face to remove the dirt, grime, and excess oil that has settled inside your pores and on your skin. This will prevent clogged pores, breakouts, and will minimize shine.

2.Exfoliate twice weekly: after you cleanse, you should scrub away any dead skin cells that would clog pores and otherwise lead to breakouts. It allows for healthier skin cells to live on the surface of the skin, giving you a “brighter” complexion while also minimizing fine lines and wrinkles

3. Moisturize twice daily: once you’ve cleansed and buffed the skin, it’s time to hydrate and protect your face. Tip:  Look for words like “lotion” or “gel” instead of “cream” on the moisturize label if you’re a beginner.

4. Use SPF always: It’s important to shield your skin with SPF, whether it’s packed inside your daily moisturizer or added as an additional layer.
