Our Self-Care Tips for Fall

After a summer full of sunshine, three-day holiday weekends and shortened work hours, we need some self-care ideas to help us get back into our autumn routine.  As the days get shorter and your pile of work emails gets larger, you're going to need to get creative about your “me" time. To keep yourself from getting down during these shorter days, here's a list of ideas that will get you through Fall.

Get Outside

Whether it is taking a hike, going for a walk or sitting outdoors while eating -- a bit of sun exposure helps elevate our mood and boosts immunity.

Unschedule Yourself

Take 15 mins for yourself everyday  and do something you find relaxing or simply enjoy. We try to go for  a walk, meditate or call a loved one/friend to catch up.

Get Moving

Moving your body is one of the most effective tools to reduce stress.  Try yoga, have a dance party even a bike ride. It will help boost those endorphins ... and feel good.

Take a Nap

A perfect nap during the day will help you feel refreshed, boost your creativity and productivity! Struggling to figure out how to nap, check out this Life Hacker article we found.

Digital Detox

We get it, going cold turkey and detaching from your phone is hard! But try to designate a time each day for tech-free activities ... you will find it liberating!

You You You Time

Cozy up with some tea and your favourite fuzzy socks! binge watch your favourite fall TV show or re-read your favourite book. It's a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
